This is a major update release for Multi-Display-Manager
Improvements
- Support for MDI-11 in switched mode with up to 15 connected Etherface-1 in Tx-mode devices per board
- Support for MDI-11 in Rx-mode with Etherface-1 used to implement a connected workplace
- Increased the number of physical inputs to 45
- Increased the number virtual inputs (e.g. video input streams) to 64
Compatibility note
The new features require a new version number of the internal config file and also some small, but at least incompatible changes of the REST and Low-Latency remote interface API.
Tritec suggests to backup the existing MDM configuration before updating to version 2.8.0.
To keep with the REST and Low-Latency API changes, Tritec provides the “Remote Interface Migration Guide v1.0” in the download area below.
Users that do not require the new features do not have to update. Tritec will keep supporting the 2.7.x software path for minimum of one Year (at least until April 2027) to give customers time to modify own and third party software.
